I learned that I cannot focus on jazz as a subject for my website. I have decided to keep a jazz section as one of my writing assignments that will go into the website. I am focusing on the topic of "equality and freedom of expression can be seen through all time periods and styles". I chose this topic to focus on because I realized all of my critical analysis assignments have focused on some sort of rebellion. I will work jazz in because jazz is how African Americans began to express themselves. I want to add more works of art than just paintings.
This sounds interesting! I like the way you've pivoted your content here to match the assignment and think the concept of rebellion is a great one to focus on. You'll be able to find many contemporary works that emphasize this message and I think you'll be able to connect older works to modern rebellion as well.
ReplyDeleteHey Lenard! I think you made the right choice by changing your topic since your new topic is a bit more general. This will give you more things to talk about while still keeping jazz as a secondary topic. Also, I think your topic is very interesting, very different from other's I have seen. I can't wait to see what you write about it!
